Darq’s voice booms through both stories of Catherine’s farm house: Have yourself a merry little Christmas…
Let there be peace on earth
DARQ: Yo, Catherine, I found the cookie cutter.
CATHERINE: It’s about time…wow, you’re dressed up like Santa’s Little Helper!
DARQ (chuckles): I saw the apron and couldn’t resist.
CATHERINE: Nice shoes, too.
DARQ: I had them custom made to go with the apron.
CATHERINE: Really? For an apron? Why go to all that trouble?
DARQ: Because my MIB team voted that at this year’s annual Christmas Party’s the dress code was to be Christmassy and no regulation-black. You do realize that they get tired of wearing black suits, right?
CATHERINE: I never thought of that, but it makes sense. What are the MIBs on your security team going as?
DARQ: Since they were a team, the eight decided to dress as one of Santa’s Reindeer. Agent L is going as Dasher. After all, he is rather dashing.
CATHERINE: Is he that dashingly handsome Adonis with the muscles that lifted your trunk onto the porch when you arrived this October?
DARQ: No, silly, that’s Agent B. I meant Agent L is dashing, as in capable of destroying threats before they happen. The man has a sixth sense about–
CATHERINE: Right. Now, about today’s cookie baking, go into the pantry and get me the flour pail, will you?
DARQ: Ah, Catherine, I don’t think so.
DARQ: I can’t risk getting this outfit soiled. You’re on your own.
CATHERINE: But we promised the fans and readers who stop at this blog that you’d be making your Fruity Cake.
DARQ pulls out a recipe card from her pants pocket: No, we promised them a copy of the recipe. Here it is–

The design of the Elf Apron came from a photo I found posted on a Pinterest Board and re-posted to my Aprons board. The apron is made of felt.
